Is it mandatory to take COVID Insurance before traveling to Thailand?

The latest requirement for Thai tourists is that they must get COVID-19 insurance before traveling to Thailand. This health insurance can cover all the medical expenses, in case the traveller is diagnosed with covid-19 while staying in Thailand.
