Saskatchewan PNP Program Stream

International Skilled Worker Category

This provincial nominee stream is for foreign skilled professionals willing to live, work, and settle in Saskatchewan, Canada. Further, it consists of four pathways: –

Tech Talent – This is for skilled workers with a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer for any tech-oriented jobs.
Employment Offer – This is for skilled workers with a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
Occupations in Demand – This is for newcomers who have relevant experience in in-demand jobs but don’t have a valid job offer.
Express Entry – This is for candidates with a valid profile in Express Entry and relevant work experience to perform on-demand jobs in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan PNP Eligibility Requirements

Should have legal proof of staying in Canada
Should score a minimum point of 60 out of 110 on the assessment criteria
Should meet the language proficiency requirements
Should have a minimum level of work experience relevant to your job profile
Should have enough funds to meet the expense while living in Canada

Saskatchewan Experience Category

This SPNP is for experienced foreign workers currently employed under the Saskatchewan employer and holds a valid work permit. This stream consists of 6 pathways:

Skilled worker with a work permit

This category is for skilled professionals working in the province for at least six months with a valid work permit.

Semi-skilled Farmer with a work permit

This is for workers with a valid work permit & a full-time job offer from the Saskatchewan employer as a farm worker in any of the gardener jobs listed in NOC.

Health Professionals

This is for healthcare professionals like nurses, physicians, and other allied healthcare workers who have experience working for at least six months for a Saskatchewan employer.

Hospitality Sector Project

This is for workers with at least six months of experience working as – food servers, kitchen helpers, housekeepers, and cleaning & maintenance staff.

Truck Driver Project

This is for truck drivers working in any of the approved Saskatchewan auto firms for at least six months.

Students

This is for students who have done their post-graduation in any of the approved institutions in Canada and have a work experience of 24 months in Saskatchewan province. And for students who did their post-graduation in Saskatchewan Province and worked in the province for a minimum of six months.

Key Features of Saskatchewan PR Program

Saskatchewan is the most preferred province for migrants, as the application process of Saskatchewan PR program is easy compared to the procedures of other provinces. This provincial nominee program has two categories – Enhanced sub-category & Base sub-category.

The enhanced sub-category aligns with the Express Entry System to manage the Canada Permanent Resident applications. The applicants with a valid Express Entry profile will receive score points based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The applicant with the highest score will receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada Permanent Residence during an express entry draw.

For instance – if you have a valid express entry profile and are nominated under the PNP program, you will receive an extra 600 points in CRS. And this guarantees the receipt of ITA (Invitation to Apply) for applying to Canada PR.

Base category means – the applicants applying for Canada PR under the Saskatchewan PNP program without registering in the express entry pool. So, if they get nominated for the provincial nominee program, they need to contact the IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to apply for Canada PR.
